Mahabharat is a historical television series aired in India based on the Hindu epic with the same name. This television series has a total of 94 episodes and it was originally run from the 2nd of October 1988 to the 24th of June, 1990 on the channel DD National. Sea Hawks[1] is an Indian TV series that aired on Doordarshan National's Metro (DD Metro) channel in the late 1990s. The story was based on the life and times of the Indian Coast Guard officers. The series stars Om Puri, R Madhavan, Niki Aneja, Leelawar Tendulkar, Anup Soni, Simone Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Seema Mishra, Milind Soman and others. It was directed by Anubhav Sinha and executive produced by Anirudhya Mitra of UTV. Later, it was directed by Shivam Nair while Anirudhya Mitra took up the writing of the show in addition to his role of the executive producer. Sea Hawks was the only Indian television action drama series that was shot on land, air, water and under the water in various locations including Mumbai, Goa, Daman and Mauritius.The series aired again in 2002 on Star Plus network.[2] It was produced by UTV.[3]
The plot revolves around the activities of a mafia don's network, the coast guard, and the police and includes underwater and action sequences.[4]

Iconic teleserial Ramayan is set to make a comeback to Dordarashan. The serial will be re-telecast from March 28, amid the lockdown, on public demand.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday announced the same on Twitter. “Happy to announce that on public demand, we are starting retelecast of 'Ramayana' from tomorrow, Saturday March 28 in DD National, One episode in morning 9 am to 10 am, another in the evening 9 pm to 10 pm,” he tweeted.

Directed by Ramanand Sagar, Ramayana featured Arun Govil as Ram, Deepika Chikhalia as Sita and Sunil Lahri as Lakshman. The show also featured Late Dara Singh as Hanuman and Arvind Trivedi as Ravana. The show was originally telecast from 25 January 1987 to 31 July 1988. Arun Govil was trending again recently after he commented on the Kapil Sharma show that the Ramayan cast was once offered large sums of money for bold photoshoots, which they refused. Actors Arun Govil, Deepika Chikhalia and Sunil Lahri reunited to celebrated 33 years of the iconic TV serial. Deepika, who played Sita, said no one would casually greet her, instead people would fall at her feet and say 'Sita Ma'. When asked if they wouldn't feel 'itchy' wearing all those extravagant costumes, Arun Govil who played Ram said that after a point of time, he felt 'itchy' by the mere sight of the costumes.
